Role summary
The Company is accelerating its roadmap for industrial automation silicon solutions, requiring clear specifications for next-generation technologies. As Technology Manager/Architect, you will define the industrial functional safety technology strategy and technical architecture by consolidating market requirements, technology trends, key customer needs, and the broader market environment.
Responsibilities
- Define the software strategy and architecture for next-generation industrial functional safety solutions.
- Advance modular, scalable, and certifiable software platforms for industrial functional safety.
- Turn customer, market, and application needs into clear technical roadmaps and compelling industrial value propositions.
- Collaborate with functional safety stakeholders to define a concise, modular, cross-platform industrial functional safety strategy and architecture.
- Engage early with certification authorities to align architecture and compliance strategy.
- Guide development teams from architecture definition through implementation and customer enablement.
- Track functional safety standards, market trends, and competitor activity to maintain the Company’ technology leadership.
- Represent the Company in strategic discussions with customers, partners, standards bodies, and ecosystem stakeholders.
Requirements
- M.Sc in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent with additional expertise in software development.
- Deep knowledge of industrial functional safety standards, including IEC/EN 61508, IEC 61800-5-2, IEC 62061Safety of Machinery - Functional Safety of Control Systems. Machinery-sector implementation of IEC 61508 for safety-related electrical control systems. Read more, ISO 10218-1, and related standards.
- Strong expertise in functional safety application design for industrial automation and robotics.
- Proven track record of transforming technical and market requirements into technology strategies and implementation success.
- Openness to explore new technologies and markets to derive implementation recommendations from that.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent customer focus with strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with industrial automation technology such as industrial networking, functional safety, security.
- Result-oriented, self-organized, self-motivated with independence of thought.
